Coach Jeff Jeff Robison

Head Coach / Club Director

Jeff began playing Volleyball as a high school sophomore in Tucson, AZ under the tutelage of All-Americans Byron Shewman and Bill Waldrop, player-coaches with the International Volleyball Association's Tucson Sky. He played for one season with the San Diego State University men's team before returning to Tucson, getting married and beginning a career in telecommunications.  After returning to Tucson he played as a reserve player in the IVA for two years, and continues to play the game both indoors and outdoors.  Jeff has experience with the game as a regional referee in several USA Volleyball regions and with the OSAA.  He began coaching as an assistant coach in the adult level of USA Volleyball in 1979 and has coached ages 10 to adult over the last 28 years.  Jeff is currently the Junior Varsity coach and Varsity assistant with Canby High School.

 

Coach Kristel Kristel Baeckel 

Kristel is a middle hitter/blocker for Clackamas Community College and former Barlow High School player.  Kristel was a three sport, twelve season athlete at Barlow Bruin.  She was a First Team Mt Hood Conference All-Star in volleyball and softball.  She also starred for Barlow's women's hoops and made the conference's all-star team.  Kristel was selected Sam Barlow's Female Athlete of the Year her senior year.  She is joining Canby in her first year of coaching.

 

Coach Katie Katie Cunningham 

Katie is a West Linn native who played volleyball for Portland Volleyball Club from 1993-1999 and for West Linn High from 1995-1998.  While playing for WLHS, she was named to the Three Rivers League first team all-league team her junior and senior years.  Her team placed 2nd in the 1997 OSAA State Championship tournament.  Katie returned her senior year as one of the captains, leading her team to a 1998 State Championship title and was named to the 2nd team all-tournament team.  During her 6 years at PVC, her team’s titles included the Northwest Jamboree in Yakima, WA, Regional Championships and many Power League Tournaments as well as a top 3 finish at the Bayview Classic and a top 10 finish at Volleyball Festival.

Due to a career ending injury, Katie retired from playing volleyball in the middle of her 1999 club season and went on to earn a scholarship playing Division I golf for the University of Oregon.   During her time at U of O, Katie earned a double major in Human Physiology and Accounting.

 

Coach Caitlin Caitlin Gustin

Caitlin grew up in Canby where she attended Canby High School and played volleyball for four years, three on varsity.  Caitlin was named 1st Team All-League her Senior year.  She played club volleyball for many years in the CVC program and now lives in Sherwood with her husband.  This is Caitlin’s fifth year of coaching for the Canby Volleyball Club.

 

Coach Jackie Jackie Kamahoahoa

Jackie is a Canby resident who has played and coached volleyball for many years.  This will be Jackie's third year coaching for the Canby Volleyball Club.  Jackie is also the Freshman Volleyball Coach at Oregon City High School.

 

Coach Danielle Danielle Perez

Danielle has been coaching and/or assistant coaching in the CVC for the past five years and she is currently the Varsity volleyball coach at Woodburn High School.  Danielle played in the Canby club for many years and also at the high school level for four years.

 

Coach Julie Julie Perez 

Julie has been coaching for the past 12 years with the Canby Volleyball club.  She does a fantastic job working with the girls, teaching them to be disciplined athletes while at the same time teaching them the love and joy of the game.  Julie played high school volleyball in West Linn and went on to play in the Air Force for four years.  Julie lives and works in Canby.  She has shared her love and knowledge of the game with her three daughters, two of whom are either still playing or coaching for the CVC.

 

  Daniele Schmader 

Daniele is a former middle hitter/blocker for Canby High School and is now attending and planning to play for Clackamas Community College.  She was instrumental in Canby's ability to be one of the top two teams in their league from 2004-2006 and was 1st team all League her junior and senior years, 2006 Pacific Conference Player of the Year and a 2nd Team All State Player in 2006.  She has been a club player for Canby and for the Portland Volleyball Club.  Daniele enjoys helping kids achieve their goals and hopes to bring ambition and enthusiasm to the CVC program.  She is joining Canby in her first year of coaching.
