Coaching Staff
Introducing the 2009-10 Canby Volleyball Club Coaching staff:

Cristina has played volleyball since 1992. She played on the Canby High School varsity team in 95, 96, and 97, received 1st team conference in 1996 and 1997 and 2nd team conference 1995. She played club volleyball for Red Hots volleyball club, Nike NW JRs, Mt. Hood Volleyball Club and Country Jam (the original Canby volleyball club). Cristina also played at Clackamas Community College in 1998 and 2000. In 2000 she received 2nd team all conference, team MVP and was team captian. Then she transfered to Oregon Institute of Technology and played in 2002 and 2003. In 2003 she received 1st team all conference and 1st all-region team for NAIA division. She graduated from OIT with a Bacholer of Science in Psychology. She has been a social worker for the past four years and currently works for the State of Oregon as a child welfare caseworker. Cristina is also currently an assistant coach for Clackamas Communtiy College. We were fortunate to have her coach at Canby Volleyball Club in 2000 for 14's and 16's. She continues to play volleyball in-door, outdoor both grass and sand, and basically any chance she gets. We are very please to be working with Cristina again.
16 Blue - Richelle Heacock
Richelle is currently a Sophmore at Clackamas Community College and is the starting setter. Her 2009 Season Highlights include Linn-Benton Crossover, All-Tournament - Sep 19... Selected Cougar Player of the Week - Sep 28. Her 2008 Season Highlights include 2008 Starter - played in 152 games, lifting the Cougars to 4th place in the 29 team NWAACC Conference... Selected to the Southern Region All-Star Team (H/M)... Selected Cougar Player of the Week (Nov 11)... Selected Cougar Player of the Week (Sep 02). Richelle, of course, also played in high school. Richelle was a four-year varsity lettermen and earned a host of team awards including MVP, Most Inspirational and the Coaches’ Award. She was a two-time selection to the Nisqually League First Team All-Stars. She also played club ball with Above the Net Volleyball club and is a 4-yr varsity basketball player for Eatonville. This is Richelle's 2nd year with Canby Volleyball Club, as she was gracious enough to step in and take our 16 Blue team last season to the Emerald City Classic. We are looking forward to working with Richelle again this season and are very excited for her team.
16 White - Kylee Perez
Kylee is a current Freshman playing at Clackamas Community College as an Outside Hitter. Kylee has played volleyball both in school and for Canby Volleyball Club, beginning as a 12U player. This is Kylee's first season as a head coach for our club, but has assisted within the club for the past few seasons. We are excited for Kylee to share her philosophy and love of the sport and can't wait to work with her this season.

14 Blue - Julie Barnett
Julie has been coaching for the past 14 years with the Canby Volleyball Club. She does a fantastic job working with the girls, teaching them to be disciplined athletes while at the same time teaching them the love and joy of the game. Julie played high school volleyball in West Linn and went on to play in the Air Force for four years. Julie lives and works in Canby. She has shared her love and knowledge of the game with her three daughters, 2 of which are coaching for our club this season, (one plays at CCC and the other is the head coach at Woodburn High School). Julie is a valued member of our coaching staff and we are excited to work with her this season.
14 White - Danielle Perez
Danielle has been an asset to the sport of volleyball since her early years in club volleyball. She also played for Canby High School and was selected to the All-State team her senior year. Danielle is currently in her 2nd season as the Head Coach for Woodburn High School Varsity team. Danielle has coached for Canby Volleyball Club for 3+ years, but took last year off to focus on school and her high school program. We are very enthusiastic about having Danielle back on our staff and look forward to working with her this season.
14 Green - TBA
Debbie is a long-time Canby resident and local business-owner. She has been with the Canby Volleyball Club, with her daughter, for the last four years. This is Debbie's 2nd year as the Head Coach for the 12U team with Canby Volleyball Club. Debbie played volleyball in high school and continued to play recreationally. She has coached at the rec level as well as one year as the 12U head coach for Oregon City Volleyball Club. Her goal is to teach her team the fundamentals of the game, along with competitiveness, leadership, comraderie and a genuine love of the game.
